Marlin Coast Toastmasters supports Cairns Members to develop great communication skills to become excellent in business and personal relationships.
Marlin Coast Cairns Toastmasters achieves this by teaching Members how to speak confidently and comfortably before a live audience and how to participate proactively in formal meetings using parliamentary procedures. These new skills of
speaking and listening, impacts the life of all Toastmasters in many beneficial ways.
Today, Toastmasters International is still a non-profit organization which provides its members the opportunity to develop and improve their public speaking abilities through local club meetings, training seminars and speech contests all over the world. Toastmasters International includes more than 199,000 men and women in more than 9,300 clubs in more than 70 countries!
The Marlin Coast Cairns Toastmasters Club is proud to have as it's founder one of the longest standing Toastmasters in Australia, infact Frank Beattie was a member of the very first Toastmasters Club formed in Australia in 1958 - and Frank has been a runner up in the International Toastmasters Speaking Competition.
Frank is highly regarded in Cairns for his years of support to public speakers of all kinds, and still conducts the acclaimed Speakeasy Program on behalf of Marlin Coast Toastmasters for Universities, Armed Forces and other Business establishments.
Experienced professionals and beginning speakers alike can benefit from our practical, face-to-face learning program. Whether you're speaking to the board of directors, your customers, your co-workers or your kids, Toastmasters can help you do it better. You'll learn and practice in a friendly, comfortable environment with people who are there for the same reason you areto become better communicators.
At Marlin Coast Cairns Toastmasters, members learn by speaking to groups and working with others in a supportive environment. A typical Toastmasters club is made up of 20 to 30 people who meet once a week for about an hour. Each meeting gives everyone an opportunity to practice conducting meetings, giving impromptu speeches, presenting prepared speeches, and offering constructive evaluation.

Currently we meet at the Paradise Palms Country Club on the 2nd & 4th Thursdays of the month, 6.40 pm for a 7.00pm start til 9.00pm.
